Phi Theta Kappa
In both the Fall and Spring semesters of each school year, students who have completed 12 hours or more of coursework at Lenoir Community College and have a 3.5 GPA or higher receive an invitation by Post Office mail from the college’s President. These students will also receive an email from the Phi Theta Kappa advisor.
Invitations are typically sent in early September and February and state when interested candidates will meet the acting advisor. Candidates who cannot attend that meeting may email the Phi Theta Kappa advisor about their interest. After that meeting, students will have approximately three weeks to pay an $85 member fee (or sign a contract with the LCC Foundation to waive that fee) and submit other required information such as Induction Ceremony biography summaries.
Note: Students who have attended other colleges and achieved a 3.5 GPA at that institution cannot use that GPA at Lenoir Community College. Similarly, students who have joined Phi Theta Kappa at other schools cannot transfer that membership to LCC.
