Welding Technology, SMAW (Stick) Welding Skills Certificate

The SMAW (Stick) Welding Skills Certificate focuses on developing students’ proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), also known as stick welding. The curriculum covers welding safety, techniques, equipment handling, and reading welding blueprints. Students gain hands-on experience in welding various metals and learn to produce quality welds in different positions. This certificate prepares individuals for entry-level welding positions in industries such as construction, manufacturing, and maintenance. Applicants interested in this credential should apply to the Welding Technology, AAS program.
