LCC Graphics Club donates to Lenoir County S.A.F.E.

Thirteen students from Lenoir County Early College High School took on the role of state leaders this past weekend when they joined approximately 200 other North Carolina students in the NC Youth Legislative Assembly (YLA) in Raleigh.
Congratulations to Colby Tyndall, an AAMC Industrial Systems Technology student who was recently offered a job as a Maintenance Technician at MasterBrand Cabinets in Kinston! Colby will be working there part-time while finishing his degree!
By day, Ika Grant can be found at Lenoir Community College. “I assist individuals that are considered low income as well as individuals,” Grant said. “At that time were dislocated workers, they have been laid off from their jobs. With retraining, those retraining this can be dealing with on-the-job training, or going back to school.”
Lenoir Community College (16-10) showcased their offensive prowess in an 11-4 triumph over the William Peace University JV squad on Tuesday. Over the weekend, the Lenoir Community College Lancers faced off against the Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats in a three-game baseball series. The Lancers now hold a 15-10 overall record and an 8-5 conference standing after going 1-2 against the Bobcats.
Lenoir Community College had this game against Barton College JV, until the Lancers didn’t. LCC dropped a 12-11 contest with the Bulldogs in 12 innings Wednesday, dropping to 14-8 on the season. The Lancers were up 8-3 at one point, but couldn’t hold on as Barton exploded late.

More than 80 employers will be attending the annual Lenoir Community College Job Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in the Student Center. The event is sponsored by LCC, NCWorks Career Center of Lenoir County and NCWorks Career Services Centers of Greene and Jones Counties. The public is invited to attend.
