Graduation season for Lenoir County Public Schools gets underway Wednesday when 44 members of the Class of 2022 at Lenoir County Early College High School receive their high school diplomas. The next night, 40 of them will be awarded associate degrees or certificates from Lenoir Community College.
Lenoir Community College will hold its sixtieth commencement at 7 p.m. May 5 in the Student Center with Greg Lassiter as the guest speaker. Admission to the ceremony is by ticket only as seating is limited. More than 400 graduates are eligible to receive degrees.
Lenoir Community College made a tremendous turnaround this season and look to do even more in the playoffs.

Students in the Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Integrated Machining Programs recently put their skills to the test by participating in the annual Aerospace & Advanced Manufacturing Center (AAMC) Derby Car Race at the Center.
Join the LCC Chorus April 11, for a Music Concert Tour in Briley Auditorium at 7 p.m. Students will perform various selections alongside Wayne Community College, Fayetteville Tech Community College, and the University of Mount Olive.

Lenoir Community College visual arts students Nigel Williams of Kinston and Chandon Williams of Snow Hill share more in common than their names and a visual arts degree. They both are graduating within a few months of each other, and both are pursuing their dream of creating amazing art.
