Gary L. Smith of Trenton has been named Lenoir Community College’s head baseball coach for the 2020-2021 season. A former New Bern High School Head Baseball Coach, Smith brings a vast amount of experience and expertise to the Lancer field.

LCC graphics students win top collegiate award
Two students in the Graphic Arts & Imaging Technology (GAIT) program at LCC were recently awarded top honors in this year’s student competition for printing and graphics. Jillian Wilson of Kinston and Harley Hancock of La Grange won the top collegiate award for their digital printing and package design of a “ASPCA” pop-box mailer.
LCC receives $855,000 to fund short-term training classes leading to job
Lenoir Community College has received $855,000 from the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund for scholarships for eligible students pursuing high-demand workforce training programs leading to industry-recognized credentials.

Little did Ian Webb of Beulaville know that when he started at Lenoir Community College he would end up with a full-time employment opportunity before he graduated. Webb enrolled in the Industrial Systems Program in the spring of 2019. He finished his major coursework and started working at MasterBrand to fulfill his Work-Based Learning (WBL)
