Over the weekend, the Lenoir Community College Lancers faced off against the Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats in a three-game baseball series. The Lancers now hold a 15-10 overall record and an 8-5 conference standing after going 1-2 against the Bobcats.
Lenoir Community College had this game against Barton College JV, until the Lancers didn’t. LCC dropped a 12-11 contest with the Bulldogs in 12 innings Wednesday, dropping to 14-8 on the season. The Lancers were up 8-3 at one point, but couldn’t hold on as Barton exploded late.

Saturday: BASEBALL: In their first two games of a three-game series, the Lenoir Community College Lancers baseball team traveled to Brunswick CC. Game one saw Tyler Thompson take the mound, putting in a strong performance according to Coach Smith, perhaps his best yet at LCC.
Lenoir Community College’s baseball team has started off hot. Although the team dropped two of three to Gaston College over Friday and Saturday, Lancers coach Gary Smith said there are a lot of positives to take, especially in the 7-3 win Friday, winning the second game of a doubleheader.
It was fun to honor the sophomores and their families on Coach Bobby Dawson's court and beat Guilford Technical Community College. At halftime, the Lancers were down by three, but they fought back and carried the lead most of the second half. Final score for the evening: Lancers 101, GTCC 97.
Lancers baseball splits with Gaston College today at Lancer Field. Game 1: Gaston 10, LCC 5. In Game 1 Logan Merritt put another HOMERUN out into the trees of left field on his first at bat.
Lenoir Community College just got a commitment from a pair of strong volleyball players Thursday. Mikalah Dale and Hayli Verme both signed to the school at the Carolina Performance Volleyball Club gym.
Congratulations are in order for Lancers Head Coach Gary Smith, who was inducted into the George Whitfield Baseball Clinic Hall of Fame! George Whitfield has been hosting this nationally recognized baseball clinic for over 40 years and continues to touch coaches and players of all ages.
