Horticulture Club completes scholarship endowment

The Power of Algae class offered at LCC
Lenoir Community College is offering a course entitled “The Power of Algae” from 9 a.m. to 12 noon beginning March 14 for eight weeks in room 113 of the Science Building on the Kinston campus. Participants may choose to attend any of the sessions via video conferencing.
Applications for new cohort at the Aerospace & Advanced Manufacturing Center due March 16
According to Monster.com there were almost 7,500 manufacturing jobs open in North Carolina this week. Ziprecruiter.com reports that the average salary for advanced manufacturing jobs in North Carolina is $58,000. Lenoir Community College’s new Aerospace & Advanced Manufacturing Center at the NC Global TransPark is preparing local students to enter those jobs.
LCC and Aircraft Solutions USA, Inc. sign MOU for training
Lenoir Community College and Aircraft Solutions USA Inc. have recently signed a memorandum of agreement in which LCC will provide education and training for the future employees of Aircraft Solutions USA, Inc.
Black History Month Celebration
Lenoir Community College is proud to present its annual Black History Month Program on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at 11 a.m. in Briley Auditorium. This year’s program is entitled “How I got Over” featuring retired National Guard General, James R. Gorham. General Gorham is first and only African American general of the United States National Guard.
LCC hosts “For the Love of the ART” event
The Lenoir Community College Foundation is excited to display the artistic talents of our community members, Transitional and Career Studies students, and Fine Arts Department students in a special event, For the Love of ART from 7 to 8:30 p.m. February 28 in the LCC Blizzard Atrium and Culinary Center. Admission is free for the event.
NC Science Olympiad surprises LCC’s Richy Huneycutt with an award
When Richy Huneycutt, Director of Marketing, Recruiting and Communications, walked into the Coach Bobby Dawson Court at Lenoir Community College, the audience filled with Science Olympiad participants stood and chanted her name.
