Project Description
Natural Hair Care
This course provides instruction in the areas of Shampoo/Blowdry, Scalp Treatment/Deep Conditioner, SH/BD/Thermal, SH/BD/Basic Cornrow, Basic Cornrows-Hair, Design Cornrows-Hair, Box Braids, Full Sew, Frontal Wig Install, Crochet, Starter Lock/Dreads, and Lock/Dread Retwist.
After successfully completing this 300-hour course, students will have the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetics Arts. Once completed, students will obtain their Natural Hair Care Specialist License.

Registration Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age at the start of class
- Must have Social Security Card or Tax ID
- Must have official picture ID (Driver License or Passport)

Complete the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Scholarship form to determine your eligibility for scholarship funds that support your training. A form must be submitted for each class you plan to enroll in. In order to best serve you, we will need this information at least 30 days prior to the start of your selected course.
