Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts, AFA

Students in the Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts program will focus on creativity, technique, and critical thinking. Through a combination of hands-on studio courses and theoretical coursework, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of art history, contemporary art practices, and various art mediums. LCC offers guided pathways to ensure that students meet the requirements to transfer to a four-year institution. This program provides students with the tools they need to be successful at one of 16 NC public four-year institutions!

Transfer opportunities include Art Education, Art History, Illustration, Painting, Drawing, and Museum Studies.
